What was Life like 500 years ago ? I think life 500 years ago there were not a lot of technology so the people had to live in stone houses , wood houses, long houses, tipi's, or even mud huts and most of the roofs were made out of straws and sometimes when it rains the roof gets really slippery and maybe the people sleep in beds that were made out of straws or animals fur. Some family's might even take bathes in the same tub without changing in the water or maybe in places were there is water to bathe. Maybe there life was mostly dark because there were no electricities during the time so if they were staying up late they would need to light up a candle to see. There would also be less polution 500 years ago then NOW.
I think people survived by hunting animals, farming and using the animals fur for clothing, blanket, carpets and e.t.c......... and they use the meat to eat for food as well as the farming to eat foods too. Back in those days instead of using telephones they had to send people to send measages or they used smoke communication to speak to others. They might cook over an fireplace or maybe over a fire pit. I also think they kept warm in the winter by wearing lots of layers of clothing so they won't be cold through the winter.
